Will the increase in the number of free hours for 3 to 4 year olds affect which scheme I can use?

From September 2017, free childcare for 3-4 year olds will be increased from 570 hours to 1140 hours a year. The free hours can be used flexibly and if your child will be ages 3 on the 31st August 2017, eligible parents can apply now.

You can benefit from the additional free hours if you are in the current Childcare Voucher Scheme and also the TFC Scheme. However, as the free hours will reduce the amount of hours you have to pay for; this will potentially reduce the savings you could make on the TFC scheme.
